ZTE, T-Mobile Forge Strategic Partnership in European Markets
February 20, 2009
China's ZTE and Germany's T-Mobile announced on February 19 the establishment of strategic partnership on mobile phones and data cards throughout the European markets in which T-Mobile is represented, according to a press release by ZTE. In late 2008 the two companies signed a GFA (General Framework Agreement) covering the whole handling of a project and necessary adjustments of ZTE products for T-Mobile, with further agreement on joint projects in the future. ZTE has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with T-Mobile's parent company Deutsche Telekom. The Chinese telecommunications equipment provider recently opened a new office in Bonn, dedicated to supporting Deutsche Telekom in deploying fixed and mobile network infrastructure.
